Brochures from different colleges were scattered all over the covers, some of them looking a bit worse for the wear than the others, the amount of paper leaving almost no space for one to sit on the bed. Shrugging to no other than himself, Chanyeol laid down, paying no mind to the mess. As he realized his feet were still hanging on the air, he scouted up the bed on his forearms, resting his head on the pillow with a sigh. Working as a street food vendor, even if only for a little while, wasn’t for someone like him, it wasn’t for that reason that he was born. Every day he had to stop and remind himself he made the decision to work all by himself, but it didn’t stop the spoiled part of him of being at least grumpy about it.

Being tired like that was unusual. Chanyeol was full of energy, enough to piss people off most days and tire out his bosses and co-workers. And now at the end of the day, though, he wanted nothing else more than sleep for a whole week. He guessed the formula went a bit like this: spoiled kid + working + deciding on which college to go – fun and games and everything that made him happy = lifeless Chanyeol. Sure it was stupid, but who says he had energy to think anything better? Turning to the side and kicking off this shoes, he decided to take a short 20-minute nap before dinner.

As it turned out, his biological clock wasn’t as accurate as he thought and not even the way his stomach was growling could’ve woken him up. No, it was his phone ringing that did the trick, the message tone ringing too loudly and too closely to his ears. Glancing at the screen, he saw the notification for a message from Sora. What surprised him was the time marked on his phone; why would Sora be texting him at 2AM? He furrowed his brows and scrambled to open the text, blinking sleepily at the screen for a moment.
