Because I don't want to hijack someone else's post, I'm going to put my response to Space-Malex's post here and hopefully keep the fandom discourse directed at me and not them since I'm about to share an unpopular opinion

This is not me trying to stir sh*t up, just my two cents to the generalization of Malex & “we all ship them. We all want them to be together”
I don’t ship them (anymore). I DON’T want them together.
I want to enjoy Forrest and Forlex… But if the Malex shippers are gonna sh*t all over my ship then its only fair I can sh*t on theirs in return.
The teaser we got today was nice but seeing all the anti-posts really killed my spirits. I do respect that Malex fans love Malex but I don’t see why they have to stomp all over the tiny Forlex crumbs I have to cling to.
Having said that, I do try to keep 98% of my anti-malex ways to myself in order to not stir the pot. This isn’t me trying to cause trouble, honest! I’m just… resentful I guess? because it’s hard enough to navigate this fandom as a former-Malex shipper.
BUT I DO AGREE THERES NO REASON TO PIT MICHAEL AND ALEX AGAINST EACH OTHER. There’s also no reason to compare ships or knock/bash another… We’re all viewers, fans, of the same show but we all interpret scenes, characters, episodes, relationships differently. It doesn’t have to be a majority mentality for us to all enjoy the same show.
