you may or may not know this about me, but i really like when character designs are really bulky on one side of the body, and very straightforward on the other side of the body
and i havent drawn a sci-fi looking armor in so long i figured id try cus i feel like lifting legs like that would need aid from sci-fi technomagic
you can check out full res and more on my patreon!
Also let me take you into a bit more intricate design i liked about this one in particular, when i was designing the legs i thought about making chicken legs like a lot of mecha, but with human joints that wouldnt quite work.
So i opted for a more propulsion and impact reduction base, her feet would reach just about the ankle (where the little triangle is on the lower leg of the armor) so shed have up and down movement of her feet, but all the bottom of the actual contraption is built of is purely for impact reduction. If look, the leg that is planted on the floor, the space between the blue feet guard and the "hooves" is lower than the one that she has raised.
And the other bit is the turbines on the ankle and back of the knee, i like to think that since those get really heated, whenever she has to use them for movement, the inner thigh bit closes fully (instead of having the gray metal bit inside showing) for them to move the turbines outward and connect them to the fuel source, aswell as initializing the cooling process, and this depects something along the lines of her just comming out of her running mode and the steam is the heat distribution of the engines.
And finally! the things on her wrists are for laser daggers of course
Alternative parenting is great because why did no-one tell me that as a parent I could use the clips and carabiners on my chains to hold pacifiers, and toys, and everything.
Makin' baby steps to establish my new custom hood. I played a lot of settlement building games in the last months. I wanted to skip decorating my hood with roads and use "real ones" instead. I used criquette's rural lane set to make a replacement, that looks like a path. I had this idea, that depending on the stage of the hood, I would switch the replacement. So when the hood becomes bigger, I would add more roads in SC4 and copy them via hoodreplace and switch the replacement, so it looks like mud roads later and finally like cobble roads. A plan for the distant future, as I'm not sure, whether or not I want to play a Challenge.
But I like these little paths <3
The replacement still needs a lot of tweaking and I'm not convinced about the pine tree's colours. I used SilentDragon's neighbourhood tree replacement for the longest time, so the pines look too bright imho. Maybe I just have to get used to it. ^^'
You ever just look at a fish and just feel so much?
Fish are such excellent little beasties, absolutely delightful little dudes. Somehow ended up scrolling through a page full of excellent photos of beautiful fishes and I just feel so overwhelmed by how much I love fish.
have you ever feel like you’re not worth? not worth the person you're with i mean. she’s are perfect in every single way. her eyes, moves, breath. they're looking at another beautiful people and you're not even jealous. you understand, that you're not even a half of them to fight for her attention. sh says she loves you, but you can't be sure if she’s with you only because she didn't find a good person yet or it’s true. have you been here?
Sweet Pea moved out when he was 16. Of course, nice real estate was hard to come by on the Southside and as a high school student with a part time job, whatever classified as nice on this side of the tracks was way out of his price range anyway. So instead he got a crappy one room apartment. Which was okay. At least the area was relatively save. Almost no break ins. Mostly because people were well aware that the people living here didn’t own anything worth stealing anyway, but sometimes you just had to stay positive.
The lamp over the front door is broken and the door itself practically never locked which is good because the doorbell’s also broken. So people just have to come in and knock on his disgusting old door. The pain is flaking off and sometimes little pieces of blue paint get stuck under your nails, but that’s okay. It’s not like he moved in here because of the paintjob on his apartment door.
Bathroom is the first door to the right. Nothing special. Toilet, sink, mirror, shower. One of those small windows that’s way high on the wall that is kinda broken and doesn’t fully shut anymore, so it’s always cold in there. Instead of a proper lamp, he has a lightbulb dangling from the ceiling. Whenever the girls sleep over and want to get ready at his place, he has to take the mirror of the wall and carry it into the living room because apparently the lighting in his bathroom is shit - whatever the fuck that means.
His kitchen is small and crammy. The cabinet is stacked with loads and loads of dishes. That’s good because Sweet Pea isn’t big on doing the dishes. And he constantly has friends over. Sure, most of the stuff doesn’t really fit together and sometimes he runs out of plates so people have to use a bowl instead or a spoon instead of a fork, but hey, at least it works. The stove doesn’t really. Which is fine. He isn’t big on cooking either. Two of the burners were broken, but that was fine. The microwave worked and the coffee machiene worked and that was really all he needed. The fridge is usually close to empty. There’s always a couple of bottles of beer in there, but hardly ever food. He’s no alcoholic or anything, but people ask for a cold beer more often than they ask for a sandwich.
The living room was most of the action happened. Half of it was covered in random photos he took. He wasn’t big into photography or anything, but they had this whole photography project at school once and since they were underfunded as fuck everyone had to pay for their own prints and since he paid for them, he decided he might just keep them. That’s one of his principles and one of many reasons why his apartment is always messy. The small mobile telly usually sits in some corner, mostly unused because of how crappy it is. But then again, Sweet Pea couldn’t afford cable anyway, so it’s fine. In one corner of the room there’s a small desk and his laptop. Fell of a truck was what his brother said when Sweet Pea asked him when he unwrapped it last Christmas. He doesn’t believe it, but he doesn’t really care either. It was a nice gift.
His bedroom is less of a room than it is the far corner of the room his apartment has and his bed is less of a bed and more of a mattress on the ground but it’s nice and big enough for Sweet Pea’s feet to not hang over the edge as long as he sleeps diagonally across the bed - which he rarely ever gets to do because there’s usually always someone over at his place after school and they almost always drink some or just chill long enough for them not to want to go home anymore so they can stay. He doesn’t have a couch so he shares his bed and his pillow and his blanket and sleeps like a normal person even if that means his feet hang over the edge because Sweet Pea’s just nice like that. It also has a window right next to it which is cool for when they all chill on his bed and talk and smoke and lean out the window and watch people pass by.
He works in the shitty little diner across the street after school. The job is shit and the food they sell is shit but sometimes on slow days his friends come visit him and he sneaks out the back to smoke with them. The pay is shit, too. But at least it pays the bills. Or most of them at least. And sometimes he gets to take home leftovers after his shift. And yeah, the food is shit, but you don’t complain about free food. Once he’s home, he drowns it in ketchup anyway so it’s chill.
Technically he lives alone. But he has a pet. No, not Hotdog. He’s not allowed to have a dog in the flat. Instead he has a cat. With three legs. Found it once while cruising through the outskirts of town, half dead on the side of the road and decided to pick it up and get it to the vet. Cat lost his leg, but survived. The cause of the injury? A snake bite. So Sweet Pea thought shit, the cat is basically a serpent now and used all his savings to pay the vet bill. He had to ask Ricky and Toni and Joey and Jughead for pieces of their lunch for a month, but he thinks it was worth it.
