How do you keep going on a book when you want to know the end but the glaring inconsistencies make it impossible to focus?
I don't want to abandon it, though I know I could, but the book isn't bad as a whole. However, changing a character's last name and profession halfway through is more than distracting. (And that's the glaring issue; there are lots of other plot holes and inconsistencies.)
