I have this weird love/hate relationship with all children. In particular the children who ride the Studio Backlot Tour in Disney World. Some of them are adorable and you just want to hug them and give them stickers and make their stay at Disney World the most magical stay anyone could ever have.
For instance, I had this little girl sitting up at the front of the shuttle the other day. Quintessential cute kid, right? Little pigtails, gap teeth and everything. And she is holding this big, kind of expensive looking, camera. It's obviously her responsibility to take the pictures for the tour and she is taking it so seriously. This is her mission in life, to take as many pictures as she possibly can of the Studio Backlot Tour. My first impression of her is of this tiny little kid walking up towards the shuttle with the big camera in her face, going FLASH FLASH FLASH FLASH. Her dad picks her up and sets her down on the shuttle and she settles into her bench, gets this very serious look on her face as she takes in her surroundings, and then up goes the camera. FLASH FLASH FLASH to the left side and then FLASH FLASH FLASH to the right side. And then she pauses to peruse the pictures of trees that she's taken so far, and notices me sitting up at the front. And I see the wheels spin in her head as she slowly raises the camera up and then FLASH FLASH FLASH right at me. She pauses, looks at the results, is dissatisfied, then looks back up at me. And I smile and strike a pose. And her face just lights right up and up goes the camera. And for the rest of the entire 15 minute long tour, she kept taking pictures of me. She took probably 100 pictures of me, in my shuttle assist chair, posing and making faces. Her relatives are going to be like, who the hell is this redheaded girl?
It was the cutest freaking thing.
And then others are freaking satan incarnate. Honestly, I swear this little boy was trying to kill his little brother. There was evil in his eye, when the explosions went off, and he nudged his little brother a little closer to the edge of the shuttle.
So I can't decide if I like or hate kids.
Debating on if taking AP chem next year is a good idea.
What to do. What to do..
