Probation (1932) A romance film transcending class and social status between a wealthy girl and her chauffeur. Male lead Matty Kemp, female lead Sally Blane. The first half shows Matty Kemp's affection and love for his troubled teenage sister Ruth (Betty Grable), while the latter half tells the romance story between Matty Kemp and his employer Janet (Sally Blane). Janet's fiancé Allen (Eddie Phillips) is a man who was two-timing between Janet and Ruth. Because Matty Kemp cares deeply for his sister Ruth, the conflict between Matty Kemp and Allen is a recurring theme throughout the film.
