ProbBall of Inter Milan gets the 3rd position

I just made some simple calculation about the probability of my favorite team, Inter Milan to go to UCL Play Off next season or get 3rd position in the last giornata.

Inter get 3rd position when :

Beat Lazio and Milan

Catania beat Udinese

Napoli don't win against Siena

Assuming that the probability of Win, Lose, and Draw is the same (33%). My calculation show that the probability of Inter get 3rd position is 1/9 * 1/3 * 2/3 = 2/81 = 2.47%. So small.

Even, it's smaller when we look at the opponent of Udinese, Napoli, and Inter. Udinese plays with Catania(10th position) away is a 50:50, so it's may be draw. Napoli plays against Siena(14th, free from relegation) in Naples, so it's easy for Napoli. But, Inter face Milan which still races against Juve to scudetto, and Lazio (5th) in Olimpico which still races for 3rd position too. So, it's very hard for Inter...

And, the probability will be smaller, may be about 0.5%.

For you convenience, imagine we throw 3 dices, and hope all dices will show 1. It's 0.46%.

But, in football (and everything else of course), how small it is, there's always a hope.
