The problem with links
I habitually gather links, as this blog illustrates quite obviously. However what I hope is concurrently evident is how perhaps it may be close to impossible to follow and read all these links. Problem #1.
Links breaking seems to be less of a problem, most data I've found, usually by selecting what titles the links suggest (which is why we like "descriptive URLs") and sometimes by using wayback machine.
Following links is more problematic because... you follow them... unless I custom edited the html in this post, (which I just did: target="blank") you may even lose this page.
We are becoming more conscious... In Bruce Sterlings 'An Essay on the New Aesthetic' (edits html) Bruce suggests those whom "know nothing of the “New Aesthetic,”. . .should repair your ignorance right away. Go peruse this: http://booktwo.org/notebook/sxaesthetic/" and then continues to acknowledge the fact that by linking: "I know full well that many people never returned from that link I placed up there." Ditto.
This is the route of my problem. I use tabs. cmd T is so habitual to me I had to check what I was typing as an example to myself to see what the keys actually were. (I used this page and opened this). (Edits html).
Now, back to reading.
