Do y'all ever go deeply into automatic (... autopilot?) mode and do things wrong without realising it? Like throwing dishes to the trash or stuffing clothes in the refrigerator. 'Cuz I do.

Why dragons don’t celebrate b‘days
So by now, Blue mentioned that I had a prime number birthday. I won’t mention the beer I drank tonight (hello inhaler! worth it!) or the delicious chinese food the hubs picked up for us tonight. (And I also worked my ass off at the gym to warrant all the beer and chinese food for dinner.)
But today is also the 20th anniversary of my first kiss with the hubs.....
But let’s have a throwback, to 2007.....
From Labor Day to yesterday (aka my birthday)... well, it makes for a really shitty week to contemplate.
2rd of September... was the last day I saw my Dad alive.
8 days later... I laid him to rest. Yes, on my 33rd birthday. After paying $13K for it.
Some years are better than others.... at least until 3 years ago when my Uncle (Mom’s brother) died on the same day.
I won’t go into details on how bad I acted that night in the E/R.
Suffice to say, I don’t do a lot for celebrating. No cake. No candles.
Just drinking beer, eating chinese food and watching football. With the hubs. So it’s surreal and bittersweet and I’m trying to make the best of it.
