Send 👞 to throw a shoe at my muse

The shoe hits Death in the back of the head. He collapses into the snow, mostly as a joke, and as a way to figure out who his assailant is.

(because whoever threw the shoe is going to check up on him; if it was intentional, they’re probably checking to see if he is knocked out, and else, they’re checking to see if he was okay. So either way, he was going to know.)

It did sting though. And Death was quite annoyed.

                  ❛     okay, so maybe ‘mimblewimble’ isn’t some                   sophisticated sounding curse speak, but you                  can’t exactly make a curse or spell just sound                  cool and expect it to work. besides, it does get                   the job done.     ❜

                  this isn’t what pays the bills, but every now and then there’s spell work that comes along or louise stumbles upon that ends up taking off. the tongue-tying curse may be her most regarded work -––– and it lives in complete anonymity. creating a spell isn’t exactly something that gains status for a person, and it’s not like she can just go into a pub and declare her finding and get free drinks. ( well she did, fine. once. right after she discovered it. but everyone was so drunk already that she’s pretty sure they just were happy for a reason for rounds of shots, whether or not they truly believed her. ) sometimes she gets a job that moves her around. usually though, she is sitting at her desk, translating runes more often than not, and studying specifics such as cross-cultural hand movement variations within spells. so being approached and regarded on specifics within her work has her curious.
