DMC Diamant metallic thread. Made of viscose and metallic polyester. Viscose base makes thread not strong enough. Have to work careful because even during closing small rings thread can cut easily.. as you can see on photo below after ring of 24 double knots thread cut. This thread is little scabrous. In my oppinion thats because all 3 strings and thread itself are twisted. Thread "Aster" from Troitsk Worsted Factory (Russia). 100% mercerized cotton. 610 m / 100 g. Slightly bigger than Lizbeth 20. Same kind of twisting. I've tried many Russian threads and this one is my fav from recent time. Almost perfect for tatting. "Almost" imho just because this thread is completely matt. Pluses - not shining a lot, almost no twisting and untwisting, beautiful colors, thread little rough, it make you close big rings easier. Minuses - kinda expensive, less range of colors.
