So there are three “bosses” at my new internship, one girl and two guys. Clearly she’s in charge of my program because she had another gig today and couldn’t make it. I come in and one of the guys is like, “so it’s gonna be a chill day and you can work on any homework you have. We may go into the podcast room later and put on a movie.” How was I just transported back in time to grade school when a substitute teacher was left in charge of one of our classes?
HBO’s Music of Strangers at Grand Central Terminal
With HBO’s release of the new documentary on Yo-Yo Ma and the Silk Road Ensemble, we helped to create a unique, visual, and auditory experience for visitors and commuters traveling through New York City’s Grand Central Terminal. As curious passers-by stood by each instrument on the LED floor, a new sound joined the music. If all five were activated simultaneously, an exclusive clip from the documentary would be unlocked!
As a production intern, my duties included aiding in the production of this activation day-of, gathering and editing together clips from the documentary, and assisting in the development of creative materials.

Multiple production assistants needed for short narrative film to be shot in the Denver/Boulder area.
Six days of shooting between 3/22 and 3/27. Preproduction work available 3/20 and 3/21.
Learn on-set protocol as well as pre-production and production roles and responsibilities in multiple departments.
Earn valuable experience and make contacts. On set meals will be provided.

Last weeks YouthWorks at BAX. It was so awesome to see these you kids completely in charge of there performance from choreography down to the tech. Some really talented kids. It was an honor working with you.
Day 2 of my new internship - i know i skipped one but i may get to that later..
Anyway, I'm interning at a production company (today, Friday was my second day) and today I read 3 scripts, two for television and the other a feature film and i finally had to write coverage for the feature, which I had never done before! It was challenging to condense 102 pages into less than a page and a half but I did it and my supervisor said i did a great job! She said I nailed perfectly a specific characters story within one paragraph which was a challenge because the story has a lot of flashbacks and intertwining storylines. It sounds like I'm bragging but i just wanted to share that i had a good day and was praised for something, that I'd never done! So, yeah, I'm pretty proud of myself :D

City Room Creative, a boutique production, post production, and filmed entertainment marketing company, founded by the filmmakers of the recent documentary JIRO DREAMS OF SUSHI, is seeking a driven and creative production intern to work in their Los Angeles office this spring.
The ideal candidate will be interested in pursuing a career in editing or production, will have a hunger for learning, and will thrive in a small and collaborative team environment.
In addition to administrative office work, the intern will accompany producers on a variety of shoots, engage in research assignments, and go on runs. The intern will receive hands on experience in aspects of pre-production, production, and post-production.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and major social media sites is required.
Candidates must have a laptop computer.
