@proelio-procusi asked: i'd almost forgotten what this felt like. - from Merrill for Shaeva

They're resting beneath the sun at a hilltop. The grass is greener than anywhere else. The warmth of the day isn't too humid or hot, but perfect like an autumn day. Shaeva carries a basket of food for their picnic. Something she insisted on doing to match the old days. Where they used to do this almost every day as they studied under their keeper.
Shaeva understands that things have gotten complicated for Merrill and the clan. But that doesn't erase how much she cares for her friend. And now that she's free from her duties as Warden-Commander... she had to pay her a visit.
"That's a shame, do your friends never go out for picnics?" She means the friends from Kirkwall. It's a shame and a blessing that Shaeva hasn't met them. The last thing she wants is unnecessary attention. She enjoys her privacy.
