"Ah, I see. Well, surely you need a massage after all that traveling, and you must be famished~!"
Nightmare Moon nods, then looks wary.
"Wait... Is this some kind of setup for one of your pranks?"
She smiles, "I've been well, hon! Relaxed, soft, and very much content!" She giggles lightly, "And how was your trip?"
"It... went. We're not sure whether anything was actually accomplished or not. The griffons seem intent on preventing Us from talking to anypony in their government actually capable of making a decision."
She nods, "Oh! I did hear something happened with Arcelia and Arcel! Something about links and whatnot. Maybe they're exchanging e-mails to chat friendly?"
"Hmm... We shall have to ask Arcel about it.
Tell Us, how have you fared during Our absence?"
She shrugs, "Nothing big that I can think of." She looks around, and notices all the damage. "Maybe the guards had some sorta party?"
"It seems many strange things have happened while We were gone... We should have had more faith in Arcel, however. From what We've heard, he has managed to keep them contained."
"Welcome back, Your Highness!" An overly pudgy mare waves happily at Nightmare. Who else would this be than simple Frau? She heard the news of her favorite fellow Queen returning, and decided to greet her.
"Frau!" Nightmare Moon smiles a bit, in spite of her worry.
"Tell Us, have you heard anything about what has happened in Our absence?"
A sparkly, magical invitation is inside! "Dear Nightmare Moon, today, there is a banquet going on at my estate! There shall be assorted foods, drinks, festivities, and music! It would be a high honor if you could come! Sincerely, ~Queen Frau"
Nightmare Moon reads over the note carefully, weighing her options. The self-proclaimed 'Queen' Frau is a significant unaligned power, but also one known for being quite tricky.
In the end, she decides that the risk is worth the potential rewards, and heads off to attend.
A non-suspicious letter is received for a Miss Nightmare Moon!
Despite the non-suspiciousness of the letter, it is still treated with the standard levels of suspicion. After being screened for explosives and hostile spells, it is delivered to Nightmare Moon, who promptly opens it.
