My Academic Father Daddy, Rev Prof A C Odebode took me by hands and held me from my high school days. Daddy Odebode would follow up on one's academic endeavour and wherever he could help, he would not hesitate. I can cite various instances- Daddy took me to Prof Simeon Ademola Ajayi, a Baptist Historian, to guide me while I was writing the biography of my Grandfather, Revd John Adegoke Okesiji. Daddy encouragement me to proceed for my postgraduate studies on different occasions at the University of Ibadan when I couldn't catch up for many reasons, he urged me to settle for the University of Lagos. His final charge to me at all times is do whatever I want to do in good time. Happy birthday and Retirement, Sir. May the Lord grant you an eventful and peaceful retirement.
