A soft hum escaped Sylvan as he quietly worked on the hearty vegetable and meat stew he had prepared. The delicious smell wafter from the dining room, and he did a quick taste test with a spare spoon.

“Ah—perfect! The students are going to love this...”

He looked up from his cooking to see a fellow professor nearby. “Ah! Professor. I didn’t see you there. Byleth, is it?” He smiled at him, warm and inviting like usual. “The stew is just about ready. Would you like to try some?”

“Do you need me Teach? I mean, you’ve been looking at me without saying anything for a while now.” He continued watching the silent man, his own expression going from curious to teasing in a flash.

“Come on, I know no one can resist me, but I didn’t think even you would fall for my charms! Ha ha… No seriously, what’s up, you’re freaking me out.” Maybe he was feeling sick? Did he have a fever or something?

Without really thinking about it, he leaned down, putting his forehead to his teacher’s, checking for temperature.“You’re a little warm… Maybe you need some rest, you seem to be kind of out of it.” And in one movement, while patting the other’s hair, he gently kissed the top of his hair with a caring smile and voice.

“Okay, time to go to bed early for you! Don’t worry, I’ll tell you if anything happens, okay?”
