Is Tommy happy in his little cellar today?

Tommy is feeling lonely today, and it's starting to get to him. It happens every once in a while. It was terrible for the first year, until he adjusted somewhat to the isolation. The "freak outs", as Caius called them, got fewer and further in between. Tommy is resilient, he's learned to adapt. Caius didn't give him any other choice.

The blues are hitting him hard today, and he needed to take a little time to cry and feel sorry for himself. He laid in bed and wrapped his arms around himself and took slow, deep breaths until it passed. He thought of a few ways he might convince Caius to stay with him a little longer for his dinner tonight, so they could spend some time together.

It's still hard, but it makes him feel better when he can get a little quality time in with him. If he plays his cards right, Caius will let him out of his room tomorrow to let him clean. It's nice to go upstairs and get some daylight through the windows and a change of scenery from his cellar walls. The chores will keep him busy, and he feels proud when he does a good job.

He grabs a purple crayon - his favorite color - to scribble down a list of good things to think about instead. There's a bunch of Psych episodes scheduled to play on channel 56 this upcoming weekend. Caius will need his nails done again soon, so he'll probably get some time in Caius's room while he gives him his manicure. Tommy's pretty proud of how good he's gotten at french tips. When he finishes, Caius looks at his nails, and looks at Tommy, and smiles at him, and it's nice.

Tonight, he throws a concert. With his headphones on and his eyes closed, he can picture the crowd at the old Maidstone. The place is a little small, a little hot, a little sticky, but the energy of the people who come to shows there is amazing. He's on that stage, he's singing to that crowd, they're loving him, he's loving them back, there's so much love in the room. He dances, he sweats, he sings his heart out, whispering into his imaginary microphone.

“Hey.”

Tommy blinked blearily awake to being shaken. 

“Wake up.”

He blinked slowly up, squinting in the dark, where a sharp beam of white light cut across Caius’s face. Hunched over him, shaking him. Tommy groaned in response, and Caius leaned in. His smell rolled over him then, and he smelled like alcohol and weed and smoke and sex. He smelled like the night, and it had been so long since Tommy had been out in the night, he smelled delicious to him. He nuzzled in to sniff him without thinking, and Caius purred, misinterpreting his motion and swooping in to claim his lips. Tommy was too tired to react in time before he was being kissed, and too stunned to pull away. 

Caius’s tongue was cold when it slithered into his mouth. Arms encircled him like an octopus ensnaring him, and he was forcefully cradled against his body.

He tasted like the night, too. 

When Caius pulled away, he licked his lips, like he liked the way Tommy tasted, too. 

He dragged Tommy’s sheets off of him, revealing the baggy pajamas he wore, his top riding up to show his stomach. 

“This is gonna hurt a lot less if you’re compliant.”

Tommy’s mouth went dry. A hand reached in and touched his collar, stroking gently. Sliding down the neckline of his shirt, touching his bare chest underneath. Rubbing in circles soothingly. Murmuring softly to him, as if consoling him. 

The hand moved lower to his stomach, and crawled under his waistband, cupping him with one broad hand.

He didn’t see it coming in time when the other arm around him pulled out the nasal spray. The plastic nozzle was forced up his nose in one quick motion, pumping spray up his nostril. His nose blazed with pain, burning out in his sinuses where the heat cooled to a blessed numb. Tommy immediately started to feel heavy, impossibly heavy, growing too weak to move. 

“Just relax, angel. All you have to do is lay back and let it happen.”

Tommy didn’t realize his nose was bleeding until he tasted blood. 

He just laid there and took it, blurrily watching Caius moving over him, highlighted by that one beam of light. So pale, so cold, turning Caius a glowing white in the moonlight. Tommy could see one eye, occasionally roving back to his, meeting his gaze. All he could do was let out a soft whimper when the pain began, eager hands . 

“You’re doing so good, my good boy. So obedient for me.”

Tears leaked out the side of his eyes, and he couldn’t brush them away. The blood oozed over his lip, down his throat, joining the tears soaking his collar and dripping down his shirt. Just watching it happen to him, the white devil in the pale moonlight.

It was going to be a long night.

I came across a post today by tikkunolamresistance (yeah, that alone should tell you what you're in for) linking to an article from last year titled 'Jewish settlers stole my house. It's not my fault they're Jewish' by Mohammed El-Kurd. And I was just struck by the sheer lack of self-awareness or accountability in it. This is an excerpt from towards the end.

'Here is where I stand. There is a Jew who lives–by force—in half of my home in Jerusalem, and he does so by “divine decree.” Many others reside—by force—in Palestinian houses, while their owners linger in refugee camps. It isn’t my fault that they are Jewish. I have zero interest in memorizing or apologizing for centuries-old tropes created by Europeans, or in giving semantics more heft than they warrant, chiefly when millions of us confront real, tangible oppression, living behind cement walls, or under siege, or in exile, and living with woes too expansive to summarize. I’m tired of the impulse to preemptively distance myself from something of which I am not guilty, and particularly tired of the assumption that I’m inherently bigoted. I’m tired of the pearl-clutching pretense that should such animosity exist, its existence would be inexplicable and rootless. Most of all, I’m tired of the false equivalence between semantic violence and systemic violence.'

"Centuries-old tropes created by Europeans" and "real, tangible oppression". I mean...for fuck's sake. Zero acknowledgement of the fact that the Palestinians were active participants in the oppression of Jews alongside those Europeans. Nor that the only reason he thinks of Jews being oppressed as not a "real, tangible" thing, is because they were forced to militarize to fight off those who would attempt to repeat that oppression.

Not to mention many of these houses were actually stolen from Jews. Like they killed and displaced us in our own land for centuries.

But

Will Tommy ever get out of there? Or will he be forever trapped with caius and the others for eternity?

(Just wanna know what I sign up for here: only hurt, or hurt/comfort)

Oh dear. I really don’t want to give away the ending but I totally understand wanting to know before getting invested. Vague spoilers under cut.

There will be moments of comfort, but it’s going to get much worse before things start to change. In the end, Tommy finds his own form of release. It leans towards a happy ending because I hate pure tragedies. I hope all this vaguery still gives you some idea of if this is a story you want to continue with.

The business formal section is making me lose it lol. Yes hello I would like 1 Tommy in full three piece suit thank you.

I know 😭 😂 but some people gotta be into it, right? I didn’t want to try to add options for every style of clothing ever, so I laid down some basics and some spicy ones that might be requested. There are some things on the list I wouldn’t write, but I like how it formally welcomes every type of sicko there can be.
