East Midlands based singer-songwriter and musician - Wayne Banks - releases his debut solo single, ‘World We Share’ (22nd July 2026)… This will be the first taste of a busy year that will see a second single, ‘Cold River’ (September 2026), before his full debut album slated for release in November later this year!

Wayne Banks is a Nottingham-based singer-songwriter and accomplished bass player whose long-standing musical career now culminates in his debut solo album. Blending alternative rock, folk and pop with a punk edge, Banks crafts a sound that is both dynamic and deeply personal, underpinned by lyrical themes of emotional realism and sharp social commentary.

A seasoned session musician, songwriter, musical director and TV composer, Banks has built an impressive résumé performing and recording with a diverse range of internationally respected artists, including Robin Gibb, Saxon and The Classic Rock Show. Now stepping into the spotlight as a solo artist, Banks channels decades of experience into a debut release that promises authenticity, versatility and a bold artistic voice.

Recorded at Old School Recording Studios (Wirral) and Mastered at the iconic Abbey Road Studios (London), ‘World We Share’ embraces a moderate-tempo, upbeat slice of indie pop/rock; it is a rich festival anthem built for a sing along and fans of brit rock classics like The Who, The Jam, and Oasis, but still carries real weight beneath the hooks. The track is a social protest anthem centred on empowerment, class struggle and the reclamation of personal autonomy, drawing directly from Banks’ own childhood experiences growing up on a council estate.

“It’s a social protest anthem, centering on themes of empowerment, class struggle and reclamation of personal autonomy stemming from my own childhood experiences growing up on a council estate,” says Banks of the track.

Speaking further on the song’s roots, he explains: “I’m based in Nottingham, but in a lot of ways my music comes from pushing against the environment I grew up in as much as reflecting it. Growing up there, I saw a lot of division, silence, people being judged by class, background, or circumstance, and that stayed with me. Songs like ‘World We Share’ are really a reaction to that.”

He adds that the song is “about voices that get ignored or pushed aside, and about refusing to disappear even when the world tries to box people in” - ultimately a song about defying labels, the power of unity and people standing together.

Joseph, on writing the chorus: "I wanted a line that communicated the immense cosmic, biblical significance of not taking oneself too seriously."

On the second verse: "The line 'are you covered in blood on the inside?' is a central question that this band poses for the listener. Are you hanging on to what is human within you? Does your gut speak to you, and do you listen? Are you unafraid to hold things in your heart?"

LOSER QUEST presents: Emo Dream

Made to be simple, fun, and catchy.

LOSER QUEST says:

The song was mixed to sound like a loud, live concert. I would appreciate it if you judged the execution, not quality.

Wrote this song while eating chicken nuggets. It was nothing serious, I just wanted to have fun.

In short the lyrics are nothing special. It literally about falling in love with an emo girl at a concert.

The song was mixed in a more distorted and dirty way with added reverb to the vocals and instrumentals to make it sound like a very loud concert. I put high emphasis on the drums being heavy, using more bass and compression to get that heavy, distorted sound.

As for the artwork I enlisted the help from an emo friend of mine “Mel” to draw the initial character design for the “emo fox girl”. I then used GPT to add a background. At least I can say it’s “authentic”.

Even though the song is called “Emo Dream” I would not say that’s it falls anywhere in the “Emo” genre. I would personally describe it as “Pop Rock” and “Alt Pop”. The song was written almost as a parody of “Emo” and “Pop Punk” music.

I went heavy on the raspy tenors and “slurred speech” vocal style to emphasize the ridiculousness of this track.

It was genuinely fun to write and record, and yes… the chicken nuggets were good.

Nacido en Buenos Aires, Jeremías inició su camino artístico en la adolescencia, cuando la escritura se convirtió en una herramienta de expresión personal y catarsis. Con el tiempo, esos primeros textos evolucionaron y dieron forma a sus primeras canciones, marcando el nacimiento de un proyecto musical que lo acompañaría a lo largo de los años.

Su recorrido incluye distintas etapas y formaciones, entre ellas Parada Obligatoria (2009–2011) en la ciudad de La Plata y R.I.P. (Rock Independiente Patagónico), activo en Neuquén entre 2015 y 2020. Estas experiencias consolidaron su identidad artística y sentaron las bases de su posterior desarrollo como solista.

En 2021 lanza oficialmente su proyecto personal bajo el nombre Jerestop, publicando a comienzos de 2022 su EP debut Principio y Fin, grabado años antes pero editado finalmente de manera oficial. Ese mismo año presenta Contacto Cero, su segundo EP, registrado durante la pandemia en 2021 en la ciudad de Neuquén, un trabajo que refleja un período de introspección y búsqueda sonora.

En 2023 ve la luz Cosecha tardía, un material cuyas grabaciones se habían iniciado antes de la pandemia, en la etapa final de R.I.P. Gracias a la colaboración de integrantes de ese proyecto, el EP pudo completarse y publicarse en junio de ese año, consolidando una etapa clave en su discografía.

Ya radicado en Canadá, durante 2024 Jerestop inicia un proceso de reinvención artística, explorando nuevas herramientas de producción y ampliando su paleta sonora. De esta etapa surgen varios sencillos —Hasta Perderse, Mirando, La Perfecta Ola y La Conspiración— que marcan el comienzo de una nueva dirección creativa. En octubre estrena Privilegio, single adelanto de su EP más reciente, 45 Minutos, publicado el 22 de noviembre como cierre de un año decisivo y punto de partida de todo lo que vino en 2025.
