Do you know the name of this test, or any other details? Because both my sister and I could desperately use that and I’d like to get it while we still have health insurance.

huh! that’s really interesting, I didn’t know that was a thing? I might have to ask about it since I’ve never found an anti-depressant that actually worked for me.
Yeah, apparently it’s this test, and it’s pretty cool to read my results.
My report says I’d react very well to pretty much all psychiatric medicines (and that has proven true, I remember years ago having the same good reaction to two other completely different classes of depression medicine). On the other hand, it says that if I ever took methadone, codeine or morphine, I’m in for a bad time.
But yeah, they have tests to see compatibility between genes and psychiatric medicine now.

I'm so sorry you're dealing with all this stuff, but yay for you for talking with your mom and dealing with health stuff! Those are both very hard things to do and you should be proud!
<333 thank you! i’m trying to get some overdue adulting done this month - and i am both extra motivated by losing my nana while also slowed down by dealing with the loss? and i’m not the kind of person who gets happy over baby steps and small progress, even if i tell myself i should be, my brain is all “not enough, not enough” and then tends to say “screw it why bother” when it’s not enough so IT’S A STRUGGLE RN but thank you! i needed the encouragement! <3

I’m so sorry, that’s awful
it could be worse it could cause me a lot of pain instead of just taking all my energy and adding to my anxiety/depression but I’m just so /tired/ and nervous, it’s so stressful :( but at least there isn’t really any pain, that’s something, right?

my health issue with my periods that i was dealing with earlier in the year started up against in late july and it seemed like it was finally ending but i said something and it’s flared up again and i can’t do anything but ride it out because of issues with insurance and losing it and we didn’t know until too late and it’s a mess and i’m so tired :(((
