As the country navigates the challenges posed by high prices and global inflation, tourism professionals remain cautiously optimistic about the remainder of the year. In May, Croatia saw a 9 percent decline in tourist arrivals compared to the same period in 2024. The surge in visitor numbers in June suggests that the upcoming summer months may deliver a crucial revival for Croatia's tourism sector. In addition to this, rising prices across the board in Croatia have made the country less competitive when compared to neighboring destinations. The key to Croatia's recovery lies in improving the value tourists receive for their money, particularly by enhancing the quality of services and accommodations available. For now, the mixed start to Croatia's tourism season serves as both a challenge and an opportunity.
