Bella had never really put much stock in her flirting. Of course, she thought Rowan was gorgeous and she loved the other girl’s company, but ever since they’d first met, Rowan was shy in that respect and had never seemed interested.
So Bella let it alone.
She can’t even remember what they were talking about now, eyes widening as Rowan gets closer, and closing with a soft sigh when their lips connect. A hand raises to touch Rowan’s shoulder gently, but after a brief moment the kiss is over and they’re just looking at each other.
“sorry. you - need to go.”
She did, didn’t she? She didn’t want to, not by any means, but Bella could see it in her eyes - she owed Rowan this. After all, Rowan was a serious kind of girl, and Bella shouldn’t couldn’t give her that.
“I-- Rowan. Okay. I’m going.”
