How When I Gave Everything: Chapter 2

Here is the link to chapter 2, hot off the presses.

My Spouse Unit said when he was proofreading for me "You really write that thing where anxious thoughts spiral super accurately." LOL.

It was in editing that Roland's chapter decided it wanted to be first by having something come up in revision that put it first chronologically. But, these two were actually kind of written in tandem, and I debated for a long time which chapter to open the story with.

So, that's why this one came up so fast.

The others will likely take a little longer especially because I want Goodwyn's and Winifred's to kind of fit together like Roland's and Cedric's did and theirs are next. (Goodwyn's and then Winifred's.)

But, I actually wrote a decent bit of the "plot" of the fic in Miranda's perspective - which is sketched out - if not done.

So, once I get through this next little hurdle, things will post a little quicker again.

But, I have most of the stuff I want to say in the beginning and end notes of the chapters itself. So, enjoy!

The Best Parts of One For the Books

The last episode of season 3!

Amber: I can’t believe we’re finally in Majestic Hall!  Exactly the right place for me to be.

The way Desmond’s voice cracks when he says, “My books!!”

James: Mr. P., is class always gonna be upside-down? Mr. P.: I’m so glad you asked! No.  Sometimes it will be ~sideways~ Desmond: Oh, please, no.

I wasn’t going to include the song, but it is pretty darn catchy:

I like that they animated James’ hair blowing in the wind, since usually they don’t bother.

I never noticed before, but when Mr. P. is handing out the apples and lemons, he skips Amber, so she gets up, reaches around him, and grabs hers from off the tray:

James’ delight at being first in the class for once.

When Amber is complimenting her tree, her bangs have extra animation, and it’s kind of distracting.

Sofia: Desmond?  You really don’t sound okay. Desmond: *incredibly high pitched* Whaaaat?

Mr. P.: What are you doing here?  And how are you doing? Desmond: We... are... great.  Totally great. Sofia: *looks at Mr. P.*  *looks at Desmond* Sofia: Des....? Desmond: Don’t say anything, please.

Desmond: What have I done?

Mr. P.: Let me tell you a secret. Even I need help every once and a while.  Like, um, I just can’t get this jar open.  Little help?

Desmond: Uh, sure?

James: Wait, so does that mean I’m not the best in the class any more? Mr. P.: You, James, are thriving. James: Meh, I’ll take it.  *pats his own head* Well done, me.

While the plot may have been pretty predictable, the animation more than made up for it.  So many great faces and little background things.
