I just remembered my favorite childhood show was Captain Jake and the Neverland pirates. And somehow I knew what an oc was before knowing what an oc actually was, and made an oc for this show. Istg, I was OBSSESSED with this show when I was little. I had an oc for it and I watched this show non-stop. I was a huge Disney Jr kid. Captain Jake, Elena of Avalor, Doc Mcstuffins, and Sofia the first were huge shows in my childhood. Plus the Wild Kratts but that's off topic
So I decided to design my old oc based off how I remember her with my own new touches. She's my very first ever oc so enjoy and lemme know if I should adjust anything
Scarlet the pirate assassin’s daughter. The trauma I gave this 12/13 year old girl is just, wow. I am a menace.
sooo basically, her dad was Neverland’s most infamous pirate assassin, and one day his crew (which consisted of his 4 trusted friends) did a mutiny and took him out. Then they decided “Hey let’s hunt down his kid because we wanna get rid of any trace of our old captain left”. So that’s what they did, hunting down Scarlet. And Scarlet's friends then ditched her and left her to die because they didn't wanna be associated with her anymore. The trauma of losing her dad, her friends abandoning her to die, and her dad's crew attempting to kill her left Scarlet scarred physically and emotionally. And also they stole her dog, Dash, and left him in the Never Desert (dw, Scarlet and her dog eventually reunited) So she took up her dad’s pirate assassin career and is trying to uphold his legacy. I imagine she'd appear late into Season 3, like not too long before "The Great Never Sea Conquest". And would continue into Season 4. Also random nit-pick, but istg, so many characters in the show such as Chillyzack and the Grim Buccaneer had so much potential to be explored, but no! They got cut short because the show ended.
For her personality, Scarlet is independent to an unhealthy extent, as she's learned to survive alone. She is also highly calculating, possessing exceptional emotional detachment and a single-minded focus that allows her to carry out tasks easily. She has superior situational awareness. Being very meticulous in her planning, studying patterns, recognizing vulnerabilities, mapping out every escape route before striking. Scarlet is also great at intense self-control and can endure grueling conditions or long periods of inactivity without losing focus. She is also a quick thinker. Able to rapidly adapt to new environments and unexpected complications. And because her profession inherently involves danger, Scarlet naturally has a high tolerance for risk and chaos, allowing her to remain calm under extreme pressure. However, she is incredibly unfriendly, brash, and cold, having an aggressive and brutal nature. Scarlet can and will hold a grudge. She has an excellent memory and never forgets. Plus Scarlet is NOT very forgiving, if you tick her off, it'll take a while to get her to forgive you. And having suffered the trauma of losing the people she loved, she pushes everyone away because she believes everyone leaves eventually, no one sticks around forever. So Scarlet has built walls around herself, and she tries to isolate herself from everyone out of fear that if she gets too close, she'll lose them. She can also have a slight temper, with a taste for blood and violence, as she instantly resorts to violence (she believes violence is always the answer). She can also be sassy, but it comes off as rudeness and arrogance, making her look irritable and unpleasant to be around. Yet Scarlet seems to soften around animals, especially her dog, Dash. And after moving into Pirate Island, she began to lighten up around Jake and his crew. Scarlet is a very flawed person, unpredictable and broken. And believe it or not, what’s broken can be put back together, right?
I did ship Scarlet with Captain Jake (I still do, it’s cringe). And so yeah, that’s Scarlet’s story summarized. Also I tried to give her hunter eyes because I think they suit her.
Bonus outfit for Scarlet after moving into Pirate Island. This is like when she isn’t in her main assassin outfit.
Also a random nitpick again. I wish Jake snapped at least once. Like he had every right to crash out with him having to practically keep the safety and happiness of Never Land intact and dealing with Hook and other villians messing up everything. He's a better person than I am because I would've turned bad ages ago if I had to deal with that kind of bullshit everyday. This is how I imagine the crashout would go:
Captain Hook: "Ha ha, I got the treasure! And you've lost, puny pirate."
Captain Jake: "You know what, Hook? This is why nobody likes you and why nobody came to your birthday party :)"
Captain Hook: "Wait wha?-"
Captain Jake: "How do you manage to have a loving mother, a loving nanny, a loving girlfriend. And still act like a miserable sack of flith!? And now I question why I keep helping you! I question why your crew still helps you! Why does anyone keep helping you!?"
Captain Hook: "Popinjay, t- this is not how it's supposed to-"
Captain Jake: "NO! I am not done with you, Hook. I grew up with nothing, I am 12 years old and I'm more of a man than you'll ever be! You're better of inside of Tick-Tock Croc's mouth where you belong. So why don't you just go kick the bucket, Hook? It'd be better for all of us if you were just gone!" (I assume Jake is 12? Correct me if I'm wrong)
Izzy: "Shiver me timbers!"
Cubby: hiding behind a tree "I- Is Jake okay?"
Skully: "Crackers, no! I think he's snapped. Jake's patience has run dry for Hook."
Scarlet: actually smiling, clapping her hands and jumping up and down "YES! Finally Jake! Give it to that sneaky snook! He deserves it so much. Also... If you want to finish the job, I can lend you this :D" hands Jake a literal gun
God this whole post is so cringe but hey, uploaded it so too late. Just enjoy and lemme know if I should adjust anything. Scarlet was my first ever oc so she's not perfect but I like her. Idk if I'll ever upload about her again because I have other things to post about. But if you guys like her, I can show more
