@professorquinn:
“Drew. ” Quinn repeated the name with a hum, feeling the sound on his tongue. The surname suited well enough, but the first sounded false, if not at least anglicized. It was no matter to him, however. He respected everyone’s right to privacy. “Not new, per say. I’ve been in Vollmond a year or two now. But I tend to keep to myself most often, except when someone is intriguing enough to seem to have potential for truly good company.” Trust was not something that came easily after the incident that led him to Vollmond, but no man is an island, and Quinn was no exception to that rule. He desired company far more often than he indulged in it. “You look like the sort of man who would enjoy a nice, strong drink. What do you say?”
Drew grinned, chuckling, and shook his head. “Good company. This is the first time I think someone says this is me. Mostly people do not know me. The ones that do usually do not want to have my company. They are mostly gone now, though.” He shrugged. He hadn’t had friends - only his family, and he hadn’t seen them for years while he’d been in prison. He didn’t miss them, not much - they would all be fine without him, and while he cared for them, he didn’t worry about them much. “I will have drink, da.” Drew nodded, eyeing Quinn appreciatively. This could prove to be a very enjoyable evening.
