Some Anons in my inbox re this and as usual I came here to see what in hot tea hell was happening. I see now. This girl, istg….. 5 years and 2 kids into this shitshow and nothing much has changed it seems.

@profileranon This is exactly what I wish people understood. That those of us who talk about what we are seeing with Michael and AL's relationship and AL's behavior are responding not just to one post or one thing in isolation, but all of this cumulatively put together. It's that many of us remember Anna posting things exactly like this in 2020, to where as you said, it seems nothing has really changed four or five years and two kids later.

In the wake of The Assembly trailer release, I've seen so many people on Twitter saying, "They're well past the dating stage," yet it was Anna herself who used the word dating to describe their relationship just a month ago. I have also seen people create an entire narrative about Michael and AL's relationship that has nothing to do with reality (saying that Michael was "so depressed" before he met AL and then he became so much happier once they were together, when there is nothing that remotely suggests this and the most vivid recent examples of him being depressed were in 2020 and 2021, when they were already together).

But again, taking AL's own words into account and the fact that so little has changed, it could just be that their relationship hasn't progressed beyond where it was five years ago, and that maybe Michael and AL aren't as serious about each other as fans want to think they are. A crazy notion, and yet here we are...

Hi everyone and thank you anons for asking! 

I’m well, in the middle of a world tour of sorts, travelling quite a lot, alas for work. And y’all know the pain in the ass that is travelling in normal circumstances, so imagine now.

I’m mostly sleep deprived and surviving on junk food, but otherwise well and enjoying the change of scenery. 

Haven’t been keeping an eye on anything for a while, but hopefully boring blondes are still boring and smug wannabe queens are still smug? Some normalcy pleasethankyou . (☞ﾟヮﾟ)☞

Ya’ll know I literally SAID I knew the stans were gonna “celebrate” as if they had anything to do with me leaving, right? lmao these bitches are so predictable I can’t. They did nothing. They had no influence over my decision whatsoever. They’re exactly like Anna. Did nothing, but still staking a claim as if they did and gloating about their victory as some kind of accomplishment lmfao.

Anyway, I’m fine. I apprecaite everyone’s concern and those who have reached out. I’m following along like everyone else is now at miss @profileranon. I see the tags and messages and I am humbled. Truly. I had no idea just how much this space meant to some folks or how important it was or even the actual reach this blog had. I highkey am reconsidering the whole retirement thing now (womp womp, stans. Weep.). If I do come back, it will be in a completely different capacity. I wanna make it abhorrenty clear that I have no interest in Michael whatsoever and there will be an even stronger negative bias towards him as my once-fandom has now turned in to a straight up dislike. So any anons about “why do you run a blog if you hate him” that were once untrue will be true from this point forward and are gonna get ignored, so don’t bother sending them. This blog will exist solely to call out the hypocrisy of the fandom, the bullshit with Michael, any bullshit with Anna (PR Anon got blocked by her on insta and I’m still laughing about it), and give the unpopular opinions a place to live. I won’t be posting any news or reblogging fandom-related content from other blogs such as art or gifs or anything of that sort. I still wouldn’t say AW/PW 2.0 is a straight up “hate blog” though. Drama? Yes. Tea? Yes. Speculation? You betcha. Being a shady bitch? That’s what I EXCEL at. And I know some of you do too and tbh ya’ll make me crack up when I get those anons and I live for it. So give me a few days to really stew on whether or not a comeback is worth it and weigh the pros and cons and hopefully I’ll see you soon.

Aww...thanks so much, Profiler Anon! Glad you liked what I wrote about Staged 2. Like @mostweakhamlets​, I was also nervous to say anything critical about it, because it is so loved and people seem to be incredibly enthusiastic about a second season. But I think it’s entirely possible to discuss actors we love and shows we like while offering constructive criticism of them--not to be negative or hurtful, but because we want these actors and shows to do well, to be successful. (I think this is also why I never finished my review of the first series...because I didn’t want my criticisms to be labeled as “bashing,” when that’s the farthest thing from what I was intending. Perhaps I’ll finally write a review when the second series airs and compare the two instead...)

But yes, I’m so glad that what I wrote resonated with you, and hopefully this can lead to more open discussions about Staged/Staged 2 and what this show means both to us personally as fans, and in our current world.

I'm sorry the trolls are apparently so bored. Pretty telling about them as fans that any criticism at all causes angry meltdowns and apparently the need to make an anon hate blog (????) which I'm pretty sure MS wouldn't want anyone claiming to be his fan doing, at least I hope not.

That’s the thing, isn’t it?  Intentions vs Actions. I guess they see their intentions as right and correct and deserved, but then you look closely at the actions and the train of thought seems to be more or less like:

1. I don’t like what this rando, in their own tumblr, is saying, I stan *insert name of king/queen of the moment* so hard, I will NOT tolerate their hate blog. 

2. Go all the way to said blog and engage in, precisely, hate chat: “You are wrong/ you are a hate blog/ you are *insert namecalling of choice*

So they’re not really against HATE themselves, seeing as they’re pretty ok with it when it comes from them. They’re just against what they think it’s others hating on something they don’t. All we need to do is hate the same things and we’re on our way to bffs. There’s a lot to say about bonding over common hatred towards something I must say. The enemy of my enemy and all that. 

Also I want to point at the concept of HATE BLOG. If I’m here, a rando on tumblr minding my own business and sharing my own thoughts about something or someone, and you don’t like it, that only means that you don’t like it, not that I’m spreading hate. 

Hate is a strong feeling and we need to care A LOT about something to hate it. I really, really don’t.  

Me wondering aloud about someone else’s feelings or someone else’s problems or happiness or whatever, it’s not hate. Me sharing my less than positive opinion of someone, it’s not hate. It’s dislike. 

I don’t lie, or make anyone believe what I say it’s true. I don’t defame. I just wonder and ramble.  

What I do is say whatever I see fit in the most respectful manner I can, but I’m not obligated to agree with anyone’s choices, not even people I like and admire. And I’m most certainly not a marshmallow living in Candyland, I don’t like everyone out there. And if I think that someone is being opportunistic and has played someone I genuinely like and care about, I will say it. 

“Then we’re free to go and call you names”, some little anon retorted. 

Of course you’re free to do that. But then you’re a bully and a hater yourself, so what’s your point, why getting your pants in a twist about others doing the same, if they actually were doing it? Plus I highly doubt that your beloved celebrity would be proud of you. 

I want to think though that all these folk are wasting their time and feeling so strongly because they are safe and well and their loved ones are so too. They’re in a position of having lots of time and nothing big to worry about, which is always a good thing.
