Prompt for Program Girls
(So last night and watching @sakura-fraust New Year’s stream I began writing some Firefox and Chrome prompts for which she and @pocketsizedkitsune voice for @reef-sanomsai ‘s Program Girls. Here is an actual prompt for you all to enjoy!) Desktop is a special kind of school for special a kind of girls. In a sense it’s normal, the girls go to class, learn, work, and live out normal live. These girls however are programs each with their own special forte and their own special abilities. They are called Program Girls. Each of them uses their skills to assist the User, principal of Desktop, as they go on with their normal day to day lives.
One day however, the User accepts two new girls into the school, Firefox and Chrome. They are two girls of the same cloth, sharing the same basic abilities. This in turn causes them to become rivals, bickering with one another over their better traits and also fighting for the User’s attention and approval. By themselves there are fine but together they cause such a ruckus that it often disturbs the other Program Girls who mostly wish that everyone could just get along.
As Firefox and Chrome continue to fight they begin to learn that they’re not so different, even with Firefox being the older of the two. Both secretly wish to get to know the other girl better and possibly even become friends but their bitter past of discrimination against one another places a massive rift between them. With the help of some of the other Program Girls and a multitude of schemes, they begin to mend their connection and recognize their commonalities. Some might even say they begin to discover hidden feelings that they never knew they had.
