8 balls puzzle

You have eight balls all of the same size.

7 of them weigh the same, and one of them weighs slightly more.

How can you find the ball that is heavier by using a balance and only two weightings?

Make it so that if you were to append the following code to a script:

var val = foo()()()()() + 3; if (val === 8) { console.log('the value is 8!'); } console.log(foo()()()()()()()()()() + " == 10");

the output would be:

the value is 8! 10 == 10

(to be clear, foo[()^n] should evaluate to n) You can see my solution here.
