Rambling - I love this band. Kaonashi changed my life.
Peter, Pao and Alex and the kaohead community have given me a space to be myself.
for reference am I trans woman. (she/her)
So no songs have made me help me accept the questions I've had about my gender more like them (Exit Part V for a specific example.). Also if you are a lover of Coheed and Cambria's lore you'll love this band. If your not white you'll feel with the anti-racist tracks that brutally tell the abuse in growing up being black or a person of color in the emo / scene-core scene.
The fact I even have their Heart Tattooed on my inner and upper arm that I got in row-house in Peter's current Neighborhood. With my next tattoo most likely being done by Caleb (fragiledagger) again and be related to coffee and conversation.
The fact that the man (peter) manifested getting on @equalvision speaks volumes to his and the bands commitment and drive.
The Fact that I cry my eyes out relating to most all of the lyrics Pao, Peter and Alex speaks to their Reliability as humans.
Dear Lemon House: You Ruined My Senior Year (for better or for worse was just my feelings in my Freshman and Sophomore.
The 3 Faces Of Beauty: A Violent Misinterpretation of Morgan Montgomery, was How I felt accepting my trans-ness and Lesbian feelings towards femmes and women during my freshman year of film school.
A Second Chance At Forever: The Brilliant Lies From Casey Diamond, Is all the love songs I felt real to me in my Junior Year.
I Want To Go Home, Is just how I felt towards me ex-friend. I admittedly was obsessive and this album has helped me get over him. no matter how much I miss him; I know he'll never accept me and I need to move on. Reflecting some of these themes on the album, In my opinion.
Even outside of the Lemon House Saga, all of their discography slaps.
Like there is no bad full Kaonashi album, Somehow. (mixing isnt always the best on their earlier stuff but it was 2013 and making music in your room in philly was super cool and ahead of its time; so kindly fuck off/
Some Favorites that I can not have to always cry after.
Sabella / Kaonashi - Never Home Split.
Native EP
Otherwise Grab a box of tissue when listening.
It can get really sad and dark.
Otherwise thank you for changing my life.
Thank you.
ps. this lyric will always be in my head, like forever.
With The Moon is a Dead World, Gospel took dynamics from Screamo and progressive rock and mixed them together to form something crushing, exhilarating and wholly unique.
I can't do much to explain this album other than to say it is pretty much perfect and is essential to anyone who enjoys progressive music or screamo. It also features the best drumming I've heard on a screamo album. Just listen to the sample and you'll be hooked.
