i know i’ve had my heart set on california for ages, but the more i look into the cost of living, the geography, and the job opportunities available per state i have interest in, colorado is becoming a real possibility. i was sure that the next state i move to would be one on the coast, but there is so much geographic diversity in colorado, plus, a plethora of lakes, mountains, valleys, and forests (which probably means waterfalls), that i could see myself being rather captivated by the wide array of beauty there. plus, it seems to be rather progressive in some cities, which is exactly what i need job-wise. i definitely feel like i could afford to live in or near a city but still have ample opportunities to drive out of the city to hike, camp, climb, board, and backpack to my heart’s content. not to mention how much variety there is to capture on film, which, although i haven’t been at it long, has quickly become a passion of mine. i’m  not signing off my soul to a state quite yet, but i think that colorado can join the running of states to move to after this lease is up.
