The blog up to this point shows the initial explorations of my final year project on the Goldsmiths BA Design. The rest of the year was spent working in collaboration with another goldsmiths design student and good friend, Hayley Bruford on a project investigating the female’s position in the labour market, in particular within service industry occupations. The ongoing project explores the assumed scripted performances of the ideal pink collar worker, seperating these performances into voice and body. The project has also allowed to reflect on our own position as female designers in a male dominated profession and we are working on establishing a network to support female designers (watch this space!)
