I've started an experimental drawing project with a Maldivian artist Iman Rasheed who I met via the blogsophere. We're posting our work here http://projectdrawing.tumblr.com/ The project is inspired by The One Year Drawing Project where four of Sri Lanka's leading 

contemporary artists collaborated to produce a series of drawings over a year using the Surrealists' 'executive corpse' method. They each produced a drawing in their own studios, exchanged it by post, and created four more in response. I saw the drawings at the Asia Pacific Triennial (APT6) in 2010. I was quite fascinated to see how the artist's mark making or visual language influenced each others' work.  Iman and I are aiming to follow a similar process, but instead of using snail mail we are scanning our drawings and emailing to each other.  Iman is currently studying in San Fransisco. I've never met her in person, but have been following her drawings and photography via her blog online, and recently we've had a few conversations email. I've Realized that my Workbook for Project Drawing is in the wrong order but that's only because I've waited to upload which I should have been uploading along the way so they are not in the right order. I've only started using this as a work book and I find that I may have to use another blog site for my BVA Project Workbooks and leave this as a Personal blog but hey this will do for this project, but my next one will be on another site so I'll post the links when I start to upload my other Workbooks for my upcoming projects.
