Project Fathom is Already Famous
So some of ya'll might know Project Fathom has been plugging away at a campaign for Airwalk shoe's called Already Famous…
The campaign has featured everything from the wild parties, to gorilla street projections and wall posts, to profile video's and short films…
Little leak - a few limited addition items followed by a longer format documentary is on the horizon [shh].. All of witch is already well underway..
@AlreadyFamous #WeOutHere @Airwalk Campaign
You might have seen this in The Lower East Side and SoHo Area of Manhattan at "Orchard and Stanton" or "Allen" between "Rivington" and "Delancey" (to name a few out of 10 locations), or maybe "North 4th and Berry" in Willamsburg. Set up on a rainy night, the Already Famous Campaign was up for a hot second letting as many eyes that caught it (while they lasted) know - #WeOutHere!
With the Creative Direction of Project Fathom's own Mitchell Ware AKA "Mitch Muurder" and moral support of the rest of the stellar Fathom team, Ambassadors of the Already Famous project kept Don Brodie and his photo teammates including stylist Alison Isbell feeling young and free.
The painting from above titled "Bad Route" by the artist Miguel Calderón was the main inspiration for the campaign. Take a look, it says it all. Reckless, lawless, pack of thieves presenting themselves as "Already Famous." In fact, the story behind the actual piece has an interesting story as well - the artist photographed a group of thieves posed on bikes masked, then handed it over to a portrait artist to render the event into a painting. Filmmaker Wes Anderson saw "Bad Route" ended up using the piece in one of his films titled "The Royal Tenenbaums". The piece now lives at "Ma Peche" in Midtown.
With the recent release of the new brand, Airwalk and the Fathom team threw an amazing event on the 23st of May rocking the LES (Already Famous Launch Party). With the graphic images of the wild bunch all over the event space, the untitled rendition of "Bad Route" was viral throughout skate culture and fashion/ party culture blogs.
If you missed the first event or any of the amazing content produced by Already Famous, Airwalk, Project Fathom, and yourselves - stay tuned via Skate Famously, the "Already Famous" Facebook Page, and Twitter - @skatefamously.
