gotta love how Varian is the only one in season 1, and 3, to attually try and do somthing about the problem at hand.

project obsidian should have been Rapunzels idea. it would have made for a more impactfull conversation. just imagine the line "I don't want to hurt cass either, but we can't promis that she's not going to try to hurt us" being spoken by Rapunzel, to a reluctant Varian.

I feel like we as a fandom don’t acknowledge enough just how big of a deal Project Obsidian is. We all know how many villains the gang has faced. And they did it without a real plan most of the time. The only villain they actually put effort into planning to defeat was Varian. The rest, they just kinda winged it and fought them. But with Cassandra, they actually had a government approved security measure set in place to destroy her. They prepared to actually kill her, and it was a government project. They NEVER did that until her. She’s the only villain in the entire show that they did that for. And she was the one who was closer to Rapunzel than any other villain ever was.

Funny idea I had the other day that you may like- Imagine if Cass stole Project Obsidian from Varian

Okay, are we talking moon Cass or post series Cass (maybe it got repaired)? I think moon Cass with Project Obsidian would be absolutely op and they'd have no solid way to fight her. Yeah, she broke it, but it was effective until then (and the only thing other than the Sundrop and Moonstone to actually break the black rocks).

Also... moon Cass using Project Obsidian to amber Varian in a fight? Oooooh the angst

     Hello, all! Apologies for the lack of activity in the past days: there have been a few matters to be taken care of! But here’s the tea!

Project OBSIDIAN's organization is being REVAMPED!

     In the past few weeks, the Director Board has been collecting and discussing a list of organization issues, which mostly rotated around the inactivity of some Departments and hitches in the workflow.      Of course, Project OBSIDIAN is a project run by fans, for fans, meaning that, while taking a semi-professional approach, every member is no more than a volunteer, and as such, a few bumps on the road are to be expected. It's a learning experience for all of us!  

     With this premise, Project OBSIDIAN is thus reopening applications for 20 CREATOR POSITIONS! Like with the past applications, they will automatically be closed once the limit is reached, so that they can easily be sorted through and give you the best position in regards to your skills! Depending on the outcome, they may be reopened once more!

It has been repeated ad nauseam, but it's true: Project OBSIDIAN would not be here without your passion, support and cooperation, and even though there may be a bit of turbulence ahead — it’s a moment of transition, and transitions are never easy! — here's to a better, more organized Project OBSIDIAN to deliver the story our beloved Varian deserves! Together!
