Remember when y'all were literally bustin nuts to help fund Katya's projects and Willam's projects? And it took them less time and they raised 2-3 times the money they asked for! Where is that type of support for Peppermint?

i wish i had $2700 so i could just fund the rest of Project Peppermint myself but i don’t! someone else (or a lot of someone else’s) might tho and y’all should share this because there’s a day left and a lot of progress has been made the past few days (she was barely at half her goal six days ago)

i havent seen anything on tumblr about project peppermint so i think this is an important post to make. 

in the lgbt community the most important members and the most underrepresented, as well as the founding members of our community (important people to know: marsha p. johnson  and slyvia rivera ) are black trans women. we need to give them all the support we can as a community. 

what is project peppermint? 

“Project Peppermint” is the working title of the documentary about the life of the remarkable New York City drag legend, Peppermint. The audience will be taken on a journey through her transition while she rises as an international star on VH1’s RuPaul’s Drag Race. The film will address topics such as fame, gender and identity, searching for an answer to the question “can a trans woman be a drag queen?”
