A Brand New Blog: Project Dance OKC 2017
In October, Arrows International had the honor of hosting Project Dance Oklahoma City. It was the first Project Dance in Oklahoma, and praise the Lord, it was a huge success! The event was surprisingly well-attended; we had over 140 participants! I loved seeing so many dancers from all over the USA, and even other countries, dance in unity together.
Friday evening’s worship was incredible; the presence of God was so tangible! I’m sure nearly every person left changed and inspired. It was amazing to witness so many diverse companies and studios, including successful professional dancers, using their gifts and talents to worship and serve the Lord. The Open Air Concert on Saturday was a beautiful experience. All the participants of Project Dance presented dances on stage in the botanical gardens of downtown Oklahoma City. Though we had a 100% chance of severe thunderstorms, God was faithful to keep those storms away.
We started Sunday off with a powerful time of devotions and worship. After Jeff Lewis’ teaching, he had 6 Project Dance leaders stand in partners across from each other to form 3 doors. He asked everyone to walk through the door that they felt God was speaking to them about. One was being a child of God, the next was being an ambassador, and the final was for salvation. People were lined up and streaming through every door! What an amazing visual for how God changed lives that weekend! We spent the rest of the day in phenomenal master classes with professional teachers from all over the USA and other countries.
I felt so privileged to be able to participate in such a powerful move of God. My life was changed from that weekend, and I know many other lives were too. It was truly an anointed time. We give God all the glory for that weekend!
