Why it’s so important to bring your Safe Spaces and Rainbows to Niall Horan’s shows and how you can join in
With Harry Styles’ tour now being in full bloom and thriving with rainbows, the support for LGBTQ+ 1D fans is being showcased loudly and proudly.
While Niall Horan has always been supportive of the LGBTQ+ community and his shows have always been a harmonic and friendly space for all concert goers equally, we’ve come to find that a lot of LGBTQ+ Niall fans feel as if they are alone at being LGBTQ+ in his fandom.
When we reached out to more than 150 Niall fans to raise attention for the Rainbow Direction campaign at his shows, we got responses like “Wow, I didn’t even know about Rainbow Direction. I thought I was the only queer Niall fan” quite a few times, which makes it so very important to try and raise the visibilty for these members of our LGBTQ+ fandom!
This is where you come in!
If you go to one of Niall’s shows, please don’t hesitate to bring your rainbows or other Pride colours (bi, ace, trans, pan, aro - whatever you identify as!) no matter the size or visibilty of them. A button makes a significant impact on a LGBTQ+ just as much as a huge rainbow flag would.
Please also consider signing up if you are comfortable with it to give people the chance to reach out to you if they would like to meet you.

Share pictures of your colours - with our without showing yourself, whatever you are comfortable with - before, during or after the show to show your fellow LGBTQ+ fans that might not have seen you in person or didn’t get to go to the show themselves, that you helped creating an extra welcoming space for them at Niall’s shows. And also to help us find more participants. For that, please use the hashtag #Rainbow Direction (tumblr) or #Rainbowdirection (twitter/instagram) or @ us on the platform of your choice.
Please reblog this post or spread it on other social media platforms and help us find more participants for Niall’s tours as right now, we are only at a number of around 70 participants for all of his dates - while Harry’s is at 1400 and growing constantly.
We hope to raise our numbers and make our fellow LGBTQ+ Niall fans feel as surrounded by colourful love as they got be during WWA and OTRA!
