Betty and Jug's bed talk in 5x03 after she admitted kissing Archie.

“I didn’t want this to happen.” Betty said in a whisper. They turned theirs backs to each other.
“I know.” Jug said. He wasn’t used to lying so far away from her.
Usually, their spot was at the center of the bed. Jughead wasn’t much of a cuddler, he grew up sleeping on hard mattress and waking up alone. Sleeping with Betty made him used to the warmth of her company. Now it looks like he was sleeping on top of the iceberg that hit Titanic.
“I never meant to hurt you.” She added.
The thought of answering “then you shouldn’t have kissed Archie” crossed his mind. The ambient was so charged that Jughead didn't want to add more voltage.
“I don’t know what you want me to answer.” he finally admitted.
Jug's left side was sore, trying to not invade her side. He could hear the ruffles the bed made when she turned.
” I don't know what to say. Besides, I’m sorry.” He didn’t turn to her. “I messed up, didn’t I?” Betty asked.
Extended minutes passed before Jug had the courage to turn and look at her.
“It’s not all your fault,” He said. “After everything we’ve been through, I can’t wrap my head around it. It’s not like I never messed up, which I did, many times, and you forgave me.”
Jughead could see her bright blue eyes shining like a beacon into the dark room.
“You will ever forgive me?” She asked the toughest question.
“I think that I already did.” He deliberates for a bit.
“But we shattered anyway, didn’t we?” she asks back.
“I’m afraid so.” He let it out “You will always be my anchor Betty, I don’t think I will ever stop loving you, but I need to clear my head”
“I understand.” Betty answered, “The feeling is mutual. I will never stop loving you.”
That night, the bed still felt bleak, but the space between them felt smaller.
A random challenge idea: people interested (writers or readers) send you a song they would like a fanfic based off. Not a songfic with lyrics and stuff, but inspired by/written with a similar story depending on the song and what the requester wants. They also specify if they want [a] specific pairing[s] it written to/or just a gen fic, whatever. Can request as many songs they want and writers can take it up, take up as many they want. [tbc]
Good idea and I’ve always had the ask open for anything so if anyone wants to just give prompts to touch more authors, then sure. Submit or ask, I’ll publish it!
