Here's what's up, Secret Santas.

Mina and I have finally finished the list. We now have 72 pairs together for Secret Santa, which is mind-boggling in pretty much every way we can think of.

There are SIX participants whom we were not able to send confirmations to, since asks were not enabled. This is problematic because Secret Santa is dependent on us being able to contact you. If you all see this, please message us by December 4th confirming that you are still in and that communication is enabled; otherwise, we'll have to discount you from Secret Santa. (Which would be sad.)

Otherwise-- Mina and I are now going to be sending messages starting tonight. If you don't have one from us by DECEMBER 3RD, that's the time to get worried that you're not on the list. But be patient; there are time differences and ask limits to wrestle with, so we'll do our best.

I just read that "five quotes" post, and I think sometimes people forget that celebrities are actually normal human beings. Not everything they say can be filtered and completely politically correct - no one expects us to be perfect one hundred percent of the time so why should they be? Sure, they're on camera but I don't think Jen's words were particularly mean, they were just a bit... badly chosen. I mean who hasn't used "retarded" or "gay" before without meaning to be specifically offensive?

THIS. THIS SO MUCH. This is exactly what I mean. Perfect. This is so accurate, people are just being so overly sensitive about quotes that were never intended to harm anyone! THIS THo! Sigh, bless u.

omg i just literally got the best idea of a Scorose and Jily fic

so basically in it the Scorose relationship in it reflects the Jily relationship

(past) Jily:

the usual. she's annoyed by him, he's in love with her (but not like falling at her feet in love with her)

the Marauders plot to bring them together

but they write it all down in a journal (the plans, what happens, etc.)

(present) Scorose:

Scorpius is Albus' best friend

he and Rose don't get along at all, but they've always had this underlying tension that everyone attributes to sexual tension

Albus and some of the other Potters/Weasleys find the Marauders' journal of all their plans to get James/Lily together in Grimmauld Place (Sirius' old room maybe? either there or at Remus' old house) and use it to get Rose and Scorpius together, using the same plans

and basically the chapters split back and forth between Jily and Scorose
