We’ve all heard stories of private property in effect being condemned so that some woodland creature we’ve never heard of could live there. Of course, that’s usually with no consideration for the rights of the landowner. Well, a case is hopefully coming before the US Supreme Court that’s more ridiculous than that.

Classic haunted house story with a more contemporary twist. What's more frightening, after all, than the future?  Link leads to a text copy of the story, which also has a link to an audio version, which is how I first learned of it :). The audio version is pretty good to listen to, if only for the way the narrator makes some of the kids' voices so extraordinarily obnoxious.
