Awaiting I find out something cool to post, well let’s post some old stuff I made during February.

I wanted to make a redraw of each characters of the Zanchuli Council but with my OWN vision, making them more different from the game.

The Rise and Fall of Zul, Prophet of Zandalar

Zul, a powerful prophet and trusted advisor to King Rastakhan, once stood at the heart of Zandalari leadership as a member of the Zanchuli Council. Known for his ability to foresee future events with uncanny accuracy, Zul's visions shaped the kingdom’s military and agricultural strategies for years. But his foresight was also a burden, filled with harrowing glimpses of catastrophe and doom — many of which came true, including the devastating Cataclysm.

Despite repeated warnings, his predictions about Zandalar's destruction were dismissed as fearmongering. In frustration, Zul departed with the Golden Fleet to seek new alliances and unite the troll tribes. As disaster struck and parts of Zandalar crumbled, Zul’s once-ignored warnings became grim reality. Trolls from across Azeroth began to rally behind him.

However, Zul’s intentions darkened. No longer merely a prophet, he became a schemer, forging dangerous alliances with the mogu, naga, and ultimately, the blood god G’huun. Betraying King Rastakhan, Zul attempted to resurrect ancient powers and unleash G’huun upon the world. His actions led to widespread chaos across Zandalar, including the corruption of sacred sites and the death of revered loa.

Rastakhan, empowered by Bwonsamdi, confronted Zul and defeated him, casting him into fire. Though revived briefly as an undead servant of G’huun, Zul met his final end in Uldir, defeated by adventurers. His last words were filled with bitter disappointment — the future he saw was never meant to end like this.

Old drawing of the prophet Zul. I got too into a sketch because a mutual loves him, but I got sick the first time I tried to sketch him and couldn't do anything nice... so I picked it back up and did this.

And unfortunately they’re both dead 🥲🥲🥲

I will say I’m way more partial to Vol’jin though. I’ve lately only focused on Zul when he’s having a character interaction with Rastakhan or Talanji. I think he’s got really interesting dynamics with those two. Vol’jin can work with anyone to further his own goals; a real grin and bear it type and I find that fascinating. They’re both so cool.
