I was tagged by @simplegenius042 for this week's post. Thank you for thinking of me! 🥰 It's been a while since I've done this one.

It's been a while in the making, but I'm tying up loose ends to post Johnny & Austin's first chapter. Since it's almost ready, it's time for a fic title reveal. And the song Chapter 1 is titled after, as I've done with my previous fics. I'm so excited to share their story with you guys!

I lit a match today I watched it burn away All that I had, all that I've owned All that I've wanted, all that I've known I can rebuild bigger and higher I can replace what I lost in the fire

I lit a match today I watched it blow away Yeah, they're investigating Sift through the mire To determine the cause of this beautiful fire Let ‘em speculate to their hearts desire This wasn't arson it's a funeral pyre

Let it all burn up to the sky There is a freedom you cannot deny I can rebuild, bigger and higher I can replace what I lost in the fire

See the parade fall in line Yeah, look at the diamonds in their eyes Not just from the riches, nor from the gold But from all of the sparkles that they found in the coal Let them feel the warmth of their newfound desire As they dance through the ashes of what they lost in the fire
