One last pie from Lenny’s pizzeria as the end of an era has come. Growing up in Bensonhurst, this was THE pizzeria but for those not from the neighborhood, you may recognize this was the iconic establishment featured in Saturday Night Fever. You can’t miss the references from the film as John Travolta is all over the walls. He was served a double decker by his real life sister in the film. He also visited in 2018 wearing his legendary white suit. I will always remember this as the place my grandmother and I went to every weekend since I was a baby. Walking up and down 86th was never complete without a slice. I went on dates here. Hung out with friends here. This was a huge part of my life and it will be greatly missed.
