The voices in the back of my head resound like sweet nothings, timid touches and gentle whispers beckoning me to move forward, touch that piece of plastic, chew on that foam toy, wrap your arms around those people that you love, grasp that finger print stained metal, pull the door right open, put those damned gloves down.
Put that face mask down, do not touch it, just leave it alone.
Do. Not. Touch. It. Touch. It. Touch. Do. Not.
And here we are back to square one, again. Dig your nails into your skin, claw the germs away, peel back the frustrations, do not ever let someone touch you again, never, let it disappear.
