There are things only your first true bestfriend understands about you. The secrets you keep, the lies you tell yourself, the truth that you avoid and the one thing you're so afraid to accept. They know every little crack on your body and they're acquainted with the demons that reside in the fissures of your heart. In a sense, your bestfriend is your first love. You love them with all your heart, When you hold them, you never want to let go. You hate them and yet you know without them your world will crumble. Maybe there will be others who will fill the void but you can never love them the way you love your first ever best friend. That's why it hurts when they leave. Whenever you feel like running away from the world, consult your bestfriend. They will sit with you and make you face reality. "No it won't help." "You have to grow up." "Self harm leads you nowhere but to more pain." "You're worth it." "I love you. Always remember this, I'll always have your back." "Hand in hand, us against the world." "Think about yourself for once." "You deserved to be loved, you'll find someone one day." "Stop lying to yourself" & "No maybes. He is the one." That last sentence. That will reassure the erratic beats of your heart at the sound of your lovers name. That will justify the glow on your face and the spark in your eyes. That last sentence will remind you once again as to why they're the best in the first place.

Spending Sunday mornings lazing around in bed and I’ve been on tumblr for nearly two hours, with the intent of distraction.

Woke up to the sounds of early morning traffic, the scent of rejuvenated park greens and the caress of early morning Sun rays down my spine.

Spending Sunday morning in the cradle of yester-night dream; of random people and strange peaceful places, mountains, valleys and lakes that makes me yearn for a place to call home.

Awakened, feeling contented and blissful, for life, love and people that fills you up with positive energy, enough to run over and shower your neighbours with a pocketful of sunshine.

Waking up on Sunday mornings yearning for the sunrise and watching it with you.

Sunshine and Smiles.

As I sit and reminisce about the years that passed me by in a flurry of sun and stars, a memory I've kept buried in a chest labeled Gold. I remember the first time I made a friend. She was not much older than me, maybe a few of months older I was than her. She had a smile that could light up the room and chase away the morning dreariness. She had big almond shaped eyes and a very pleasant demeanor. We were at an age that similarities meant naught to us. We bonded because we liked each other and love having each other around. We were inseparable for the couple of years in kindergarten. I also remembered her crying because we were not going to end up in the same class in primary one. Her mom and I, we tried to console her saying that my class was right beside hers and I will always be her friend. I was. In essence. Looking back, she probably knew our time was up and we're never going to be as close as before. She was right. We acknowledged each other but that was it. It was easy for me to walk away back then and it became easier as the years passed by. It was tougher to make me stay. Today, I still remember the smiling cheery girl and she's getting married soon. May you be showered with all the happiness that you deserve. Goodbye old friend. I will remember you.
