Idea: Bannerfall but the kingdoms are actually color coordinated.

Couldn't decide between Kitty, Mae, and 4c to put on Red. Mae for her hair, 4c because of backstory with Nom, and Kitty for her feather.

Anyway, I could see the fun of switching up the backstories. Apo being sworn to someone else in Blue Kingdom but still falling in love with Princess Cherri of Soluna in the Red Kingdom. I could see it being Shan but I don't think her backstory is twistable to work with that?

Nom breaking his oath in an entirely different way, and the monarch learning about it, but Graecie sides with Nom and the two of them escape to the Red Kingdom. Katie instead receiving pressure to be better than Nom because he failed and was cast out, so she had to keep her oath.

Maybe Nom was still the one to save 4c, but 4c didn't go back with him to Blue Kingdom and the monarch still found out about Nom's oathbreak and tried to execute him, but Graecie stopped it and was able to get them both out. 4c trying to find his way to Blue Kingdom because that's where the knight who saved him was from, and running into another newcomer of Blue along the way, and during their journey to Blue they become closer. So when they (eventually) find out that Nom isn't even Blue anymore, 4c and Other have already been in Blue for a while and is more loyal to one another. Maybe Mae, maybe Scott, maybe Shan?

Apo and Scott not being enemies for once, but probably still being subtly against each other the entire time bc the cc's are just like that with each other. Maybe Apo is sworn to Scott (I CAN DO THIS WITH THE E1 SCOTT = BF SCOTT AU! RIVENDELLIAN ELF APO??? OR HUMAN APO ADOPTED BY ELVES??????) and so they're constantly arguing because Scott hates having a guard and so ragebaits and/or escapes Apo's watch constantly, and maybe Cherri is the one who Apo ends up venting to and that's how they fall in love idk.

Pair it with flowersmith or bf!Scambam (I forgot what they're called, healinglily or something right?), and Nom or Cam could have asked Cherri to distract Apo so they could hang out with their friend. Apo taking the wither rose but this time it's because it's too dangerous to just have around her charge instead of admin reasons, and Scott being genuinely upset about it and basically embracing becoming a rogue for a whole week by hiding from her.

Owain not having to have conflicting feelings about training Kitty because she's not a member of the opposing kingdom, but maybe still trying to get her to leave the kingdoms because he doesn't want her hurt in the war. Graecie being more than happy to help train Cherri in being a knight, along with Nom and Owain. Graecie and Sausage hating one another (sworn to maintain the natural order vs a literal necromancer) but being on the same side now.

Nom still feeling betrayed by 4c, because he broke his oath for that slime but now 4c is a member of Blue and has chosen Blue and (whoever travels with 4c to Blue) over Nom, but it doesn't hurt as much because they never had the chance to get close. Nom no longer having his emotional support and enabling flower mage, and instead having Graecie who might actually hold him accountable; Scott no longer having his emotional support knight that helps distract him from his own issues by having ones of his own. Nom not being able to trust monarchs still, but now watching Katie swear herself to monarchs of the same kingdom that ordered him to kill an innocent and he hates it. Katie still being forced to kill an innocent and instead of it being a parallel between the kingdoms, it is a continuation of the Blue Kingdom's crimes.

Instead of the truth of Nom's oathbreak coming out, the truth of 4c being the one who Nom broke his oath over comes out and Frogue (being king at the time bc I say so) banishes 4c on the principle that a past monarch of Blue had ordered his death "so consider this banishment a mercy", or he orders Katie to kill 4c to "right her brother's wrongs".

Also I am always for Scott and Martyn being on the same team again. Some of y'all are still in that flower valley, but me? I haven't left the coral isles.

I've decided that Mask would be a good big brother if he has some Time influence, and Warriors sees these two angsty babies and is like: "is anyone going to adopt them?" and just doesn't wait for an answer.

Sky: I would! I would adopt them!

Warriors: Too late!

Twilight: Keep them, I have to deal with these guys *baby Hyrule, Four, and Wild on leashes*

Headcanon: Scott and Acho Denholm and their family's descendants, Nominal and Katie.

Scott watching Katie and seeing what Acho had explained to him so many times and he'd tried to understand but only now could fully comprehend--that someone could leave their family, their home, and find a new one elsewhere and for it to be just as important.

Acho watching Nom and seeing, from a perspective it had been impossible to see from when he'd been in Katie's shoes, the sacrifices that his older brother made in a slightly different font. Seeing how Nom threw himself and gave everything to be as strong as he is for Katie's sake, and that being the favorite child isn't exclusive to wanting to give your sibling the world.

Scott and Acho watching Katie run away like Acho did, seeking her own life and identity.

Scott and Acho watching Nom break, thinking Katie was dead only to see her with the other side. The divide between the Red and Blue far greater than the divide between the Herons and Nightingales ever had been.

Scott and Acho watching Nom and Katie reconcile and reconnect, and grinning at each other while recalling their own experiences doing the same.

Scott and Acho watching Nom take the deal with the Creaking King and Acho immediately being angry but Scott seeing the underneath. Acho arguing he can't know what Nom was thinking, even with experience because Scott never did something that stupid. Scott countering that he had tried, and he knew exactly what was going through his own head. The only difference is that Acho shoved Scott out of the way and Katie didn't even know Nom was offered the deal.

Scott and Acho watching Katie be forced to make horrible decisions and Acho having to explain to Scott that sometimes strangers really can become just as important as your family, and Scott struggling to understand that.

Acho watching Katie stare at her final chance to save Nom and seeing her choose no. Wondering what made them different.

Scott watching Nom continue to fight the Creaking King and Sausage, knowing he would die in the end, and despite being sad that his great-something grandchild was going to die, being glad that Nom wouldn't have to live with the wrenching pain that was being the cause of his little sibling's death. The one person he gave everything for, dead because of his actions.

Nom dying and while watching everyone, meeting other people in the afterlife, including Sausage who he punched for Martyn and reluctantly offered a hug for Cam, meeting Scott and Acho.

Nom learning that the reason he always wanted to sail because he was the scion of a family of great pirates, that the ocean was in his blood. Getting chewed out by his ancestors who scolded each other as much they did him, because everything he did, so did one of them. Sacrificing too much, sacrificing himself, giving his all for his family and finally choosing to be selfish lest he kill himself bleeding for them.

Katie eventually dying and after many reunions, she meets them too, along with many others.

Their family tree had many branches. In fact, one branch married into an elven family, and they met the product of that. Nom and Katie discovering only in death that Scott Springwell was their very (x10) distant cousin.

I've had the sudden impulse, like not even I read something and thought it was cool, it just appeared in my head, but I have had the impulse to write

a) blind legend,

and b) legend & warriors having a rise of the guardians jack and his little sister moment

like... why? idk, but it's gonna happen maybe?

Thinking about the Hero's Spirit

Okay, so, when Time left the Adult Timeline... he took the hero's spirit with him. There was no hero's spirit to reincarnate when Ganondorf re-emerged and (as of the goddesses flooding the world) no other spirit born that could become the bearer of the Triforce of Courage.

Until Wind. Wind, whose spirit is its own spirit, came and becomes the embodiment of courage unlike any other hero. He forges his own spirit into one unbreakable, restores the Triforce, and defeats Ganondorf at the age of twelve.

But his hero's spirit is stubborn in a way everyone else's is not. He doesn't need the goddess to bless him with reincarnation, he wasn't even born with the Triforce of Courage (due to the fragmentation) he restored it and out of sheer will became the one to bear it and he knows it. So out of sheer will and stubbornness, he reincarnates.

Enter Spirit. Spirit, who is a hero in every right, but he doesn't follow the beaten path because Wind's hero spirit doesn't do that. He chooses to be an engineer instead of a hero or a knight.

But then the timelines merge, and suddenly, there's two hero's spirits? What? Well, obviously First's goes to Warriors, but where does Wind's go?

Linkle. Linkle, because their spirit doesn't follow the beaten path, it makes its own path, it sails through the waves rather than with it, it forces the winds to yield to its call and its power, the limits of death does not bind it, the expectations of ghosts of the past does not force its hand.

First's, Sky's, and every other hero's, their spirit is one of tenacity, one of pain and suffering, one that can take every hit and still stand and fight. They share a spirit of determination, one of courage, one that is unbreakable because it will stand in the way and be the immovable object that will always be there to hold back the darkness.

But Wind's spirit? Wind's, Spirit's, Linkle's, their spirit is also one of determination, but theirs is one born of choice, theirs is a spirit of free will, of stubbornness and a need to stand their ground. They were not forged by pain like the others, but by love (for Aryll, for Phantom/ST!Zelda). They take every hit, but they don’t stand because they can and they must, they don’t get back up because they have this undying need to endure and to persevere, they get back up because of their loved ones and the people they protect. They are the unstoppable force that drives darkness back.

Don’t get me wrong, the original Hero's Spirit is still stubborn, those heroes are still an unstoppable force, they are still seeking to protect the people they love, but if you have a hero hated by all, a hero who has nobody they should logically be trying to protect? They would still fight because that's what's right, that's what their heart is like, the whole world could hate them and they'd still protect it because 'the people in that world deserve to be saved'. The Adult Timeline's spirit is much of the same, they are similar in spirit, but there are differences.

The original spirit is a forest, one that will never truly be destroyed because something will always survive and that something will regrow and restore the forest that once stood.

The second spirit is a river, carving its path through mountains and valleys, overcoming insurmountable odds and creating great canyons. Nothing can stop them for good.

Legend literally has Majora's Mask, did the Happy Mask Salesman in MM take the mask to the downfall timeline, in that I mean that Clocktown and Termina was a different world that Time went to, and Legend somehow got his hands on it? Is it another thing he stole off a corpse or is it just something he found in a chest in a dungeon?

And is it the same mask that Wild has? Like they suggest in the comic. Or is his a different one, a still possessed one, entirely?)

Whys for some:

Rulie and Chosen (Hyrule and Sky) -> Both make the mistake of telling the group their hero titles, Hyrule is eventually nicknamed Rulie by Legend and Wild as a result (nobody else calls him that), and Sky gets Chosen from everybody.

Apple, Forest, and Ocean (Legend, Twilight, and Wind) -> Nicknames from Triforce Heroes (from my hc of them being the Triforce Heroes)

Kid (Legend) -> Another nickname from Triforce Heroes, Wind is the only one who calls him that in LU though (Twilight takes too long to realize Apple and the Veteran are the same person)

Kit (Legend) -> Sky and Twi start calling him that after the bunny incident, Twi does it first and Sky joins in after because he's a gremlin and both know Legend hates (eventually likes) it

Conductor (Wind) -> Caused by music night when Wind leads the music with the Wind Waker and just sticks

First of all, thank you for the ask!!!

Second of all, you've opened a can of worms, allow me to info dump? :D

My Sheikah Legend head canon stems from an offhanded thought of him having red eyes! Specifically, in terms of my Triforce Hero head canon of the Triforce Heroes being Legend, Wind, and Twilight, and their color symbolizing which part of the triforce they represent. I can go into detailing that another time, but basically it results with Wind=Courage, Twilight=Wisdom, and Legend=Power, and their eye colors being the indicator.

The idea of Legend having red eyes ended up resulting in him being at least part sheikah, and now the head canon has become a full sheikah.

So Sheikah Legend is born and raised in Kakariko, Impa is his aunt, and one or both his parents died when he was little. Very Disney Princess I know. But Impa teaches him how to use Sheikah magic which is just Shadow Magic, and he's super good at it. His parents were scholars and as a result he's a huge nerd, absorbs information like a sponge, which makes for an even better magic user.

Before his first adventure, he was set to succeed Impa as the Sheikah protector of the Royal Family. So he's at the castle frequently, only he doesn't get to meet the royal family until later, he's supposed to be shadowing Impa and practicing his disappearing magic, but he gets distracted and helps out the staff every time they visit.

But then he hears a voice one night, he hears Zelda(Fable) and goes to the castle. He finds a knight he's helped out before dying in the sewer. He sneaks through the castle, breaks Fable out, and does the whole ALTTP journey. He learns how to fight with weapons and without magic from Fi, as a way to conceal his identity.

After his first adventure, he's basically banished from Kakariko as himself. He's the hero now, and Sheikah aren't supposed to be the hero (they're Hylian). So Impa takes him to some friends of hers, who take the role of grandparents to him. He dyes his hair blond and gets contacts to turn his eyes blue, blends in as a hylian while learning the culture of the people who called him a monster and a traitor. As a Sheikah, Legend is still wanted by the law, but as a "Hylian" he slips past their notice. He goes the rest of his adventures pretending to be something he isn't, exiled from his hometown but still close with Impa and still intending to maintain his duty as protector of the Royal Family.

Overall, he's far less of a 'normal kid turned hero' child soldier type and more of a 'trained to fight since birth' child soldier type, and he has extreme abandonment issues. He has no problem using his Shadow Magic, but admitting he's Sheikah? Nope. Because he got basically banished from Kakariko, and Hyrule hates him, he is completely terrified of revealing his heritage. He also has extremely high expectations of himself as a result of his extensive training and responsibility. He's always acting like something he isn't at his core, and it's been ongoing enough that before LU, while still under pressure of his era, he forgot isn't his real self. In Labrynna and Holodrum, he loses that mask a bit because he's only a kid and can't keep it up, and because he's escaped the pressure of Hyrule. But in LU, he eventually becomes comfortable enough with the Chain that his real self starts to come out and it terrifies him because he can't risk losing everything all because of his heritage again.

Kind of akin to Warriors' with the identity crisis, Wild with the upbringing, and Hyrule with the secret heritage.

Wind and Twilight already know tho, he let it slip during Triforce Heroes. They keep it secret, and it didn't help Twilight figure out that Legend is the same Link as the one from Hytopia now that he's blond and has blue eyes though. Wind somehow still figured it out, nobody knows how, he's just like that.

Overall his character/personality isn't different, just different backstories and different fears.
