Prospect Goods Is Back!

Prospect Goods is back, and all grown up!

Prospect Goods has been on hiatus for about two years, so I wanted to take a moment and catch you up on what I've been up to. A lot of real life has happened: having 1 baby, moving 3 times, buying a gross fixer upper house and fixing it up, watching all 11 seasons of Cheers on Netflix... and even after all that, I can't get Prospect Goods out of my mind. 

I'm excited to share that Prospect Goods is back and more exciting then ever! We're starting by slowly rolling out some interior designs I've been working on. I've been living with versions of them in my house, listening to feedback, altering, and perfecting until I discovered something I am so proud to share with you. These pieces will be fun, cool, and chic.

Of course the Diamond Piñata is back by popular demand!

Birthday Party with Prospect Goods

Would you believe it only took me 30 minutes to create this party table, plus a trip to Trader Joes? Well believe it! I think parties can look super fun, but they should be super easy to set up. That's just how I roll.

One of the best things about friends is being able to throw them birthday parties! I transformed this modern loft in LA’s Arts District for a fun, afternoon birthday party that was girly and oh so cool. Decorating was a breeze. I hung four Prospect Goods Tassel Garlands over the table, draping each of them at different heights. This birthday was all about low-key fun, so I didn’t worry about matching the Tassel Garlands. They all went together and I seriously loved the results. Of course, I had to use one of Prospect Goods’ 36 Inch Balloons! I love them because they are such a modern take on birthday balloons and are an easy addition to the party.

A trip to Trader Joe’s provided the flowers, wine, and fruit for the party. The flowers doubled as a centerpiece for the table, then were sent home with the birthday girl as a fresh present! I found the beautiful peach and strawberry vanilla cake at a local Japanese bakery. It had strawberries on top, which looked a little old fashioned to me, so I removed them, refinished the frosting, then garnished the cake with some of the flowers. The birthday girl loved it and so did I!

This birthday party was featured on Best Friends For Frosting this month, and here's what they had to say about the end result:

"This is one of the most adorable birthday parties we have ever seen! Prospect Goods created this ultra girly and super sweet birthday party that looks like absolute perfection. Between the fun tassel garlands, soft colored flowers, and huge pink balloons, the details do not go unnoticed. Even though it looks incredible, the decorations are so easy to put together that your friends wouldn’t believe that it didn’t take you all day to set this up! We love the look that the fresh flowers bring into the party and how they used parts of them on the cake, so cute!"

Mackenzie's Because Party

Mackenzie at Pine and Crave just posted the most amazing food blogpost I've ever read! She created a whole menu that was inspired by Prospect Goods Pinatas and Tassel Garlands, and the result is amazing!

I am always nervous about entertaining because of the food side of things. Mackenzie gives easy recipes and the planning timeline (so basically exactly what I need). I read through all her recipes and they are easy to make and look delicious. She even has vegan and gluten free options. I never knew homemade marshmallows were easy to make, but they are! All the recipes she created are finger food dishes which are perfect for entertaining because everyone loves minis!

The Pine and Crave blog is all about "Pretty, easy, tasty recipes," and I can assure you, I wasn't intimidated in the least. Mackenzie is so personable too, reading her posts is a joy!
