Late night blaster update:
Wanted to be thorough with the primer because I only have one shot to hit it with the actual paint .... but tomorrow’s the day.
Taped everything off tonight so that I can spray paint in sections: starting with the tan on the grip and trigger guard/cartridge mount and silver for the barrel + the cone... thing.
I just superglued my fingers together trying to get the toothpicks in place and hold them for long enough to set them ... but it actually turned out pretty perfect in size and looks roughly accurate. Some of them are definitely not straight, but I can twist it before I secure it in place to make sure that what’s visible looks the best.
I can’t believe there’s only two real steps left: the paint and then assembling it. Detailing and aging the different parts (if necessary) is the last step, but ... it might be done by the end of the weekend, depending on how long the rain holds off for because I’m not about to spray paint in my basement.
