Just bought a teeny baby one of these (Prosthechea Matiana) at the local orchid show. It's a hybrid between Pros. prismatocarpa (left) & Pros. garciana (right). It cost £5.00 from the 'baby tray'.

This photo is from the website of the place I bought it from and even they don't have a photo of the actual hybrid flowers. It'll be interesting to see what the flowers look like, because garciana has 'octopus' shaped flowers and prismatocarpa doesn't.

There were actually quite a lot of people there today, which is lovely. There were even some under 70's people there! I may not be the youngest person that goes there anymore.

I’ll have to take some better photos but this is the clamshell orchid. The sample plant was a beautiful black lipped clamshell orchid with greenish white tendrils. Reminiscent of a squid. $25 at the Krull-Smith show. First of its species in my collection!
