pro chess strats by me:
use the king as an offensive piece. no-one expects it, and it guarantees you the breaking of your opponent's spirit ABUSE GENDER EQUALITY THE KING IS NOW THE QUEEN
The chocolate bar for heavy.
Is one of the many weapons (black box, back scratcher) that shines when you have no medic, but is horribly outclassed when you have at least one medic on your team. But just like the back scratcher is sorta outclassed by the powerjack, the chocolate is almost completely invalidated by the sandwich, and for good reason.
Cons:
You can’t drop medkits for you medic, not even small ones to extinguish. This means that if your medic catches fire, he or she will have his or her natural regeneration invalidated.
You only heal 100 health per nom.
Because it would be overpowered for heavy to just have +50 health, you have to eat it every 30 seconds.
Pros:
It’s much more cost effective than the sandwich when healing light wounds, because it never runs out.
350 health can easily turn a heavy v. heavy in your favor. Same with a heavy v. solly if your opponent is using mostly splash. Though, the loch and load can still 3 shot you sadly.
Not so apparent Pros:
+50 health to your baseline means that the medic has more room to heal you with arrows in a pinch!
It’s well known that the chocolate doesn’t increase your max overheal to 500 health. But, it does add to the quick fix’s max overheal of 375 for a total of 425 health! It’s a nice synergy that I found out just recently. While you’re not as beefy as a regularly overhealed heavy, it’s close, and your medic heals faster. And, since quick fix ubers are expendable, your medic should be able to save himself, or worst case scenario, abandon ship with a solly and jump away.
This is untested, but the chocolate may work pretty well with the vaccinator, though it’s still the worst medigun. The mini charges can save the medic and mitigates the lack of healing from the sandwich, the healing when the other takes damage has more leeway for the heavy because of the +50 base health he has, more leeway for the medic because the heavy is a huge target, and the +50 health that’s not overheal shouldn’t (untested) heal 66% slower, meaning your medic heals you up to full slightly faster. Though, still, the combo with the quick fix is still better.
Please note that this is in no way competitive tested or approved.
