for the artist ask: 10, 14, and 29 :] (or any others you wanna answer!)
Thanks for the ask Kait!! <3
10. Favorite piece of clothing to draw
Oooh hm I haven't thought about this before. I've been enjoying slightly more detailed artstyles recently, and rendering things like sweaters and cardigans and other patterned fabrics has been surprisingly fun! Thinking about the outfits of our PLZA characters from the Lumiose Trio pic
14. Any favorite motifs
So does that mountain count /silly
But I also really love sunrise and sunset! Partially because it looks gorgeous and you can get some beautiful effects, but also for the symbolism of it... the beginning of something new, or reflecting on the past, or coming to the end of some journey...
29. Media you love, but doesn't inspire you artistically
I think I'll go with Alan Becker's animations (Animator Vs Animation, Animation Vs Minecraft, and associated series). Really love those animations, and have watched video essays and peeked into the fandom (which has been cooking awesome stuff I must say!)
But personally I don't feel a drive to create for it, I'm just interested in seeing what others do. Since the OG designs are stick figures, it leaves a lot up to interpretation and fanon designs wildly diverge, which is fun to see but I've never felt like throwing my hat in the ring.
The closest I've felt to being inspired is seeing gorgeous art where they're still on model stick figures but the backgrounds are beautifully painted and the lighting is insane. Great stuff, I guess that would be the kind of fanart I'd theoretically make XD
